Hello, Annyeonghaseyo! Erica Dozier is the creator of Korean Convenience. She is a freelance writer, blogger, entrepreneur, food enthusiast and K-pop music lover who enjoys writing a compelling story.
She lives in Los Angeles, CA where she has worked as an administrative assistant, closed caption technician and a cable technical support representative. Erica graduated from California State University Northridge. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting with a minor in Creative Writing.
How It All Started
The beginning of her travel adventure began with an introduction to Korean dramas and music. After studying the Korean language, she followed her passion all the way to Seoul, South Korea.
The word “convenience” is defined as; “The state of being able to proceed with something with little effort or difficulty.” As a foreigner, she experienced the love, frustration and time-consuming task of trying to figure out how to do laundry, order food, the subway system and a whole host of other daily tasks. If you want a more detailed story check out her Travel Diary.
This is her experience of how little by little, learning Hangul in her Korean Language class, and small interactions with locals, she embraced living abroad.
